❄️ Frequently Asked Questions❄️
Hello, this is Quill and I am at your service. I have been a member of the Deeply Rooted Church Community for the last 13 years. I've been working on this website off and on for a while, and I have noticed that some questions keep popping up. In an effort to help answer those important inquiries, I've created this FAQ or Frequently Asked Questions page. We're likely not going to cover all possible questions here, so please feel free to contact us!
I'm new to Paganism, do I have to be an expert Witch to join your community?
If you're new to our community or if you are exploring the possibility of Paganism as a spiritual path, it's valid to feel overwhelmed. No, you do not need to be an expert to be part of our community. We have members who are new to the path, those who are still questioning, and folks who have been identifying as Pagan for many years.
Here are some key points
A good chunk of our community identifies as Norse, however, not everyone and that's okay!
We have Wiccans, Eclectics, Kemetics (that's Egyptian Pagans), Celtic Druids, Shamanistic traditions, Greek Hellenistic Reconstructionism, and everything in between.
We also have people who identify as atheists, agnostics, and Christian allies who are in support of Pagans.
You do not have to be a witch to be a Pagan. Witchcraft is the practice of Magick and being a Pagan is more tied to working with the spirituality of the land. You can identify as either, none, or whatever suits you.
Paganism is a very individualized religion. There is not a single definition of it that all Pagans agree upon and that's alright. The journey is yours and we're here to help.
What if I don't know how to do a ritual or know anything about Paganism?
I want to assure you that everyone in our community is at a different level of understanding. Some folks have been in the Pagan culture for years, and some have only been recently exposed to it. I like to think of the Deeply Rooted Church Community as a "teaching church" that provides folks with a starting point and guidelines for what best fits their needs.
